Loaded up the van for my first actual adventure. I have been staying in the van while on my week long work stretches but have yet to take Kauila out for some fun. Diesel is expensive so will stop in Idaho and save a few cents per gallon. Kauila handles well on the mountain climbs with lots of power. The back is set up well; no squeaks or falling items.
Arrived at the check in area around 19:30; folks are setting up the area, and the rain is definitely making it’s presence felt. Cooking jasmine rice, grilled salmon and spinach salad with a couple of non-alcoholic Surreal Brewing Company Creative IPA’s.
In bed and reading by 10pm plan is to be up by 6am for 7:45 race start.
